Group Leader

Lipa Pharmaceuticals Limited is the market leading contract manufacturer of dietary supplements, based in South West Sydney. Over the last 23 years we have established ourselves as an innovative and progressive manufacturing company servicing leading Australian brands with a wide variety of everyday health and wellness products.

We have an opportunity for two additional Group Leaders to join our team.  Reporting to a Shift Manager, these critical ‘hands on” roles are integral to our ongoing capacity to provide exceptional quality manufacturing capabilities and services to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Efficient and effective management and leadership of a group/team of some 15 process operators across one or more manufacturing departments.
  • Efficient and effective scheduling and coordination of all activities with other internal manufacturing and service departments to ensure efficient and uninterrupted manufacturing process flows.
  • Ongoing training, reinforcement and adherence to internal and external cGMP Quality Processes as defined by PIC/s as administered by the TGA.
  • Continuous focus on ensuring benchmarked DIFOT customer service levels in line with quality and efficiency requirements.
  • Management and leadership of your group/team to ensure opportunities for increased skill, capability and continuous improvement approach to work and culture development.
  • Management and ongoing adherence to departmental administrative, compliance and KPI requirements and deliverables.
  • Ongoing involvement in the management and development of the manufacturing and service capabilities of the site.

Requirements

  • A minimal trade or tertiary qualification in a relevant manufacturing related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience  of managing a team of process operators in a complex, dynamic and quality oriented manufacturing environments such as foods, beverages, complementary/pharmaceutical industries.
  • Clear and provable capacity to manage and lead people
  • Great verbal and written communication skills with down to earth street smart and practical approach to dealing with people, processes and systems.

Training and support will be provided to be able to fit into our dynamic manufacturing and strong cGMP compliance culture but we also expect potential incumbents to be self-motivated, passionate, determined and pre-disposed high achievers.
