You’re busy, I’ll keep this short.

We’re mudbath, a rapidly growing (not so) small agency in sunny Newcastle. We want someone to join our creative team. Our goal is to make the world a better place, one design problem at a time.

User experience is our primary focus, so you would have to be all good with the whole UX thing… We’ve made some pretty cool apps, websites, and even a few games all for some pretty sweet clients (some of them are even international).

So, if you think this sounds like it’s down your alley send us your folio (I feel dirty just for saying folio) and a bit about yourself.

Who knows you could be writing the next one of these.

Stuff my boss wanted me to include:

Responsibilities:

  • Work in our design team to design and develop a wide range of apps, websites and internal products

  • Facilitate workshops with our amazing clients

  • Understand business and user requirements

  • Identify key project opportunities

  • Creative thinking (wow that one is kinda broad)

  • Analyse the problem and provide solutions

  • Have a start up mentality

  • Collaborate and support designers and developers

Required Skills:

  • Design thinking and problem solving

  • Great presentation and communication skills

  • Practical skills in Sketch, Axure (or similar wireframing) Photoshop, Illustrator, and  a willingness to embrace new software & technology

  • Understanding of paper prototype and sketching

  • Ability to create rapid prototypes to clearly communicate ideas

  • Production of unique and creative visual designs

  • User testing experience

  • Flexible, working on many projects and with many teams at once (we wear many hats)

  • Constructive and relevant internal feedback

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS

Bonus points for:

  • Firm understanding of web languages such as JS/JQuery, SASS, HTML, React and Angular

  • Experience testing designs and products with users

  • Extensive understanding of user-focused design

  • Ability to understand and challenge key problems and solutions

  • And the ability to land a kickflip
