About the role

We are seeking dedicated and experienced, Weekend Chefs to join our kitchen team at our client's aged care facility in Sydney's Northern Beaches suburb of Cromer. This is a part-time role with shift hours varying between 8-38 hours per week.

Skills and experience

​​​​​​Who we are looking for:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role - aged care experience highly regarded.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Collaborative and team player 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
  • The ability to work within a busy kitchen meeting tight deadlines.
  • Must have own reliable transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cook tasty home style meals for elderly residents in a retirement village
  • Cleaning of kitchen area
  • Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
  • Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
  • Assist the Chef Manager as required in preparation of food/beverages

Shift hours: 

  • Saturday - 9.00am to 5.30pm (7.5 hours excluding 1 hour's break)
  • Sunday - 8.00am to 2.00pm (6 hours) 

Above Award wages and penalty rates are on offer for the suitable applicants.
