Opportunity 
Located at our Tongala site, you will be responsible for effectively managing the daily operational goals by assisting the Farm Milk Collection team to ensure safe, compliant, enjoyable and cost-effective operations and delivery of milk. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the operations while on shift and development of a world class operation in this field.

You will also liaise with 3rd party vehicle maintenance workshops to ensure the fleet availability and fleet requirements are understood according to scheduled fleet requirements and additional demands of the business. You will provide information to the Regional Manager on any challenges or issues that affect milk collection.

What you’ll bring & Develop
The successful candidate will have previous experience planning and allocating a large fleet within the transport industry or have worked in FMCG/Dairy business. You will have an understanding of Chain of Responsibility, OHS legislation and Food Safety requirements. You will have proven experience coaching and developing a team. You will possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload along with ability to influence and negotiate effectively.

Key requirements include:

  • Previous experience liaising with the operational staff and stakeholders to ensure day to day operations run smoothly
  • Ability to monitor staff hours to ensure compliance with fatigue management and safety legislation and company policy is met
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment and changing needs of the business
  • Previous leadership experience managing heavy vehicle operators and operational staff
  • Current Drivers Licence is required, HC or MC is desired
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 
  • Truck driving experience and/or knowledge is desirable
  • Flexibility to work across both Tongala & Stanhope site is required

You will be working on rostered shift patterns. Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off - 12 hour rotating shifts (6AM-6PM) covering weekends and public holidays. Availability to work these shift hours is mandatory.
