About the role

Reporting to the Group GM Operations - Finance, this role will be responsible for ensuring the finance strategy is executed and in line with strategic goals and objectives.

Additional responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing decision support and financial leadership to ensure commercial outcomes are achieved;
  • Ensuring finance objectives align with the sites operational goals;
  • Reporting and identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and profitability;
  • Managing the monthly, quarterly and annual profit and loss reporting and forecasting process;
  • Managing the sites month-end closing activities;
  • Managing the financial planning and analysis across the sites through the utilisation of the ERP and Business Intelligence tools;
  • Completing new product costing’s as part of the sites New Product Development process; and
  • Managing the sites manufacturing items in QAD.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have completed Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and thrive working in a fast paced environment. Additionally, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant position, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment;
  • CPA/CA qualified;
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards;
  • Experience using an ERP system (QAD advantageous) and a Business Intelligence tool;
  • The ability to cope with pressure and handle a number of tasks simultaneously by prioritising;
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment;
  • A strong can do and positive attitude, who proactively looks for solutions;
  • Strong commercial acumen; and
  • Independent and autonomous self-starter.
