Employment Specialist - Gympie

NEATO Employment Services are currently seeking a highly motivated Employment Specialist to join our team in Gympie.

The Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding position that allows you to work closely with clients, employers and community organisations in order to secure long term employment opportunities for our clients. The successful candidate will carry out duties including but not limited to;

  • Connecting and engaging with a diverse range of clients;
  • Delivering excellent customer service and assisting clients with queries;
  • General administrative duties, such as preparing professional resumes for clients;
  • Inputting and retrieval of information and data in relevant company databases.
  • Engaging with community organisations to address client barriers to employment;
  • Liaising with Employers to secure employment and training opportunities for clients;
  • Assessing and Career Managing long term unemployed and highly disadvantaged clients;
  • Actively working with clients in order to progress their career development;
  • Actively promoting suitable and sustainable employment to all clients;
  • Monitor and assist clients with their job search;
  • Accurate data entry and maintenance of client file notes in industry specific databases.


About You

As part of the Gympie team, you will support the team with your excellent communication and people skills in delivering quality employment services to achieve organisational objectives. Recent experience in a customer service and/or administration position, and relevant business qualifications will be highly regarded.

You will be competent in the following role expectations:

  • Able to connect and engage with a diverse range of clients;
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and deliver exceptional customer service;
  • Strong administration skills, including the effective use of MS Office;
  • Target and timeline driven, with a high motivation to achieve agency outcomes;
  • Ability to use initiative in problem solving and conflict resolution;
  • Adaptable to work effectively both within a team environment and autonomously;
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to be organised, have strong attention to detail and time management skills;
  • Quickly adapt and learn company databases and systems;
  • Accurate data entry of client notes into industry specific computer systems;
  • Desire to advance career in employment services;
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, professionalism and a strong work ethic;
  • Understanding and adherence to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
