About the Role

The Caloundra Regional Gallery presents a changing exhibition program featuring leading local and national artists, with a range of exhibitions and public programs designed to explore the unique culture and character of the Sunshine Coast. 

As the Collections Curator, you’ll be the person to oversee and develop the Sunshine Coast Art Collection, maintaining its integrity and value, and maximising its visibility to the community in line with the Sunshine Coast Arts Plan 2018 – 2038.

  • Oversee the storage, conservation, cataloguing and display of the Sunshine Coast Art Collection
  • Preparation of interpretative material for electronic and physical publications
  • Participate in relevant public programs and events
  • Influence positive working relationships with your team and external stakeholders

 

About you

Along with your passion for art and connecting it to the Sunshine Coast community, you’ll have:

  • A qualification in art, history, gallery or museum studies, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing a public or corporate art collection.
  • Strong project, event management and organisation skills.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills for a range of audiences.
