The Opportunity 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Development Manager to join the Member Propositions team at HBF.

Reporting to the Senior Proposition Manager, this role is responsible for coaching our front line colleagues on opportunities to help add value to our members  needs, specific to Life Insurance.

As Sales Development Manager, you will manage various relationships across HBF, including the Branch and Member Contact Centre Networks to help drive new business sales within the HBF Life Insurance Portfolio as well as maintaining the day-to-day relationship with our partner, Zurich.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistent with the direction set by the Senior Proposition Manager, provide support to the Partnership Manager, Member Experience and Marketing divisions to optimise cross selling opportunities of HBF Life Insurance products and subsequent new business sales across all channels.

  • Work closely with Member Experience frontline staff to deepen their understanding of the HBF Life products.

  • Monitor and track acquisition and retention performance against targets taking remedial action if required.

  • Work with the Member Experience team and Marketing divisions to develop timely plans to correct underperformance.

  • Be responsible for the day to day management and ongoing relationship between HBF and our third party Life Insurance partner, Zurich to ensure the relationship is optimised to maximise sales opportunities.

  • Develop and monitor the compliance and breach process in line with Zurich’s Corporate Authorised Representative framework.

  • Where risks are identified, recommend and monitor relevant action plans to mitigate the risks.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Your RG146 – Life accreditation  or be willing to complete required training as a priority.

  • Previous experience in a Life Insurance capacity and in-depth knowledge of the business model would be ideal, but not essential.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Proven relationship management capabilities.

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

  • High knowledge and application of Microsoft Office suite.

  • Proven high level of customer service skills.

  • Interpretation and implementation of advice and compliance matters.
