Registered Nurse - Seasons Community Waterford West

A rapidly growing community care organisation, Envigor is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to provide nursing care and support to clients in their own home and within supported living environments. 

This full time position will provide nursing and assessment services to clients living predominantly in the Seasons Community located at Waterford West.

Position Summary

To undertake clinical assessments, nursing and care plan reviews, development of wound care plans, development of palliative care plans and general nursing duties as required.

Mandatory Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience in community care or similar
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1
  • Current National Police check (within the last 3 years)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Drivers License
  • Permanent Australian Resident

Selection Criteria

  • Knowledge of the DVA community nursing program or the willingness to acquire
  • Experience with Palliative nursing or a desire to work in this field
  • Demonstrated experience within a home care (community care) environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Contemporary clinical skills including current experience with male and female catheterisation, use of subcutaneous syringe pumps and wound management
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Must be computer literate and be able to work with the full suite of microsoft products and web based databases
  • Evidence of participation in continuous professional development
  • Current drivers license, insurance and a reliable vehicle

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of care plans to meet clients care needs and to promote quality of life
  • Provide a high standard of flexible and responsive solutions and expert clinical advice relating to complex care issues
  • Promote a consultative and collaborative approach to client care planning and coordination
  • Carry out comprehensive and accurate client assessments
  • Deliver personal and clinical care in accordance with individual care plans
  • Ensure appropriate handling and administration of medications
  • Assist Envigor to ensure the service meets all accreditation and quality standards
