About the role

Working as a Level 2 Network Support Engineer within our Melbourne Network Operations Centre (NOC), you will be responsible for completing technical diagnostics and focusing on the restoration of data and voice services, resolving on first call or escalating where necessary.

This role requires an advanced understanding of network fundamentals from both an routing and switching perspective. In addition, strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills and proven customer service skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Our Level 2 Network Support Engineers are responsible for:

  • Support our Level 1 Network Engineers in their frontline role for all customer faults logged via phone or email

  • Proactively manage complex or escalated customer incidents

  • Assist Level 1 Network Engineers to provide timely, proactive updates through our ticketing platform

  • Perform on call duties as required

What will set you apart from the pack

  • You will have a passion and drive for continuous learning

  • You enjoy mentoring junior team members at the start of their careers

  • You will have 2+ years experience in data networking with strong focus on routing and switching

  • Ideally you will have CCNA/ CCNP/ CCIE certifications

  • You enjoy talking to customers and providing exceptional customer service

  • You have the right to live and work in Australia and can complete a mandatory police check
