Your new role 
This role reports to the Manager of Infrastructure Services and is responsible for operational management of roads and infrastructure services to optimise asset life.  In this leadership role, you’ll:

  • Ensure assets, including roads, gravel paths, bridges and footpaths are maintained and rehabilitated to enhance the amenity and safety of the community
  • Oversee the service of asset maintenance which incorporates asset protection
  • Oversee the development and delivery of Road Management Plan
  • Oversee the performance and service provisions of contractor agencies
  • Undertake appropriate people management practices to ensure that the services have the right people in the right job at the right time

What you'll need to succeed 
To be successful you will hold relevant qualifications in civil engineering or related field. You will have been exposed to working in a similar role previously and demonstrate highly developed knowledge of road maintenance programs and contractor management practices. Additionally you will be able to lead a team and influence others to achieve organisation objectives. Knowledge of government and local government will be advantageous.
