Senior Marketing Executive (Fixed Term)

At Penguin Random House Australia, we strive to be the best home for our authors and people, the most service oriented partner for our customers and connect our books with readers across the country.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Executive to join us on a 12 month maternity leave cover contract, based in either our Sydney or Melbourne office, commencing in January 2019.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing marketing campaigns for books across the local and international publishing lists, ultimately driving awareness, engagement and supporting sales for Penguin Random House books and authors. Working closely with a number of teams, this role involves channel planning, creative briefing, budget management, reporting and more.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar marketing/communications role
  • A sound knowledge of all aspects of the marketing and publicity mix
  • A flair for creative thinking, copywriting and campaign planning
  • Highly-developed attention to detail coupled with a high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering high quality work to deadline
  • A love for books

We’re looking for someone who is both creative and analytical, and as passionate about books as they are a great idea. You will be strategic and responsive and will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.

To apply, please provide a CV and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.

Please note, due to the large volume of applications only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
