Introduction

MAX Solutions requires General Registration Psychologists in Hamilton or surrounding locations to conduct standardised assessments of children with disabilities in educational settings to determine their eligibility for the Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD).

The Opportunity

This position is casual in nature and is well suited as part of your broader professional activities or where you are seeking flexibility.

A willingness to travel to regional locations will increase the volume of possible work available to you.

Comprehensive training in our processes and procedures is provided prior to coming onboard, as well as ongoing Professional Development (PD) days - free of charge, and peer support.  The training and PD days provided will add to your professional development requirements for the Psychology Board of Australia.

To be eligible to apply for these roles you must have an appropriate Australian or New Zealand work visa.

About You

Suitable candidates for these roles need to meet the following criteria:

  • Psychologist with a minimum of 2 years General Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 12 months comprehensive experience conducting standardised assessments of children in educational settings, including providing feedback to parents and schools
  • Own at least one assessment tool, either WISC-V or WPPSI-IV, or have ready access to one of the aforementioned tools
  • Well established report writing skills (quality and efficiency)
  • Thorough, with excellent attention to detail with regards to reporting of results and report writing
  • Strong assessment skills (critical thinking, gathering / analysing / synthesising information)
  • Proven IT literacy, particularly in common applications including Microsoft Office Word, email and web usage
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong administrative, communication and interpersonal skills

Please note: Candidates who are currently employed by the Department of Education and Training will not be able to work in their employed network area and are required to provide written evidence from the department approving their application to become a Contract Assessor for MAX Solutions before we can consider their application for a Contract Assessor role.
