Park Manager - Lake Glenbawn

We are looking for a professional, highly organised Park Manager for our Lake Glenbawn Holiday Park. Our park is an iconic destination in the upper hunter providing tourist accommodation and camping facilities 7 days a week.

Reporting through to the Executive Manager Regional Parks, this role will be responsible for the management of all functions of the property, with the support of Grounds and Guest Services Supervisors.  You will be:

  • Managing all aspects of the parks operations, including front office, guest accommodation, kiosk services and grounds maintenance.
  • Developing a high performing team focused in providing exception customer service, whilst promoting a positive safety culture through coaching and implementation of staff training and performance recognition programs.
  • Managing costs to ensure budgets are met and revenue is growing including pursuing new strategies and ideas that will result in improved profits, improved customer service and an improved guest offering.
  • Lead and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and regulations and manage WHS in line with the Reflections WHS policies and procedures.

This is a full-time role, working to a roster which includes weekend, public holiday and on-call duties. This position is required to live on-site and be on call on a rostered basis.

The ideal person will have experience in a similar role with an interest in the holiday park industry and a 'can do' attitude. To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in high level operational management of a holiday park or operational site,
  • Demonstrated experience managing WHS and interpreting relevant legislation and regulations,
  • The ability to effectively manage staff and to create a strong team culture and managing employees in accordance with awards and other employment laws,
  • Experience in managing services, utilities, security, park presentation and cleanliness,
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution to enable effective liaison at all levels,
  • Current drivers licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle,
  • First aid certificate, or willingness to obtain within 3 months,
  • Experience in operating heavy plant and equipment (desirable),
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Leadership and Management, or equivalent, or willingness and ability to complete within 18 months.

Along with a market competitive salary and eligibility under a performance incentive scheme, your package will also include remote housing benefit, a fully maintained vehicle, laptop and mobile phone.
