Penrith Skills for Jobs, trading as JobQuest, are pleased to be able to recruit for the following positions for 2019:

  • Fixed term contracts (3 x 2 days per week, 1x 4 day per week), with possible extensions available

  • Casual roles


JobQuest was set up by a group of concerned citizens and volunteers in 1987 to provide basic community services for disadvantaged people in Western Sydney.


Now operating in both Western Sydney and Newcastle, it is JobQuest's aim to help disadvantaged members of the community to be resourceful, independent and self-reliant, and be connected and accepted by the general community and the public.

To be successful in the role, applicants will need to address the following criteria:

  1. Ability to build rapport with young people quickly;

  2. Knowledge of the barriers that impact upon young people, and an awareness of support services available to assist;

  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  4. Ability to follow through and complete set tasks;

  5. Ability to manage a variety of stakeholder relationships;

  6. Commitment to project based learning;

  7. Initiative and enterprise skills;

  8. TAE qualification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement.


All staff will need a current WWCC and a National Police Check.
