The Role

MDA National is transforming its marketing and member engagement approach and we are looking for a contemporary Marketing Specialist to help us on this journey. It is a great opportunity for an energetic, ambitious and progressive person to join the team and really make a difference.

As the Marketing Specialist reporting directly to National Brand & Communications Manager, core components of this role include:

  • Supporting strategic marketing objectives and goals through planning, process and procedure development, project coordination and deployment of a variety of omni-channel marketing deliverables
  • Working across teams to coordinate the deployment of marketing programs and initiatives, by preparing timelines and coordinating deliverables to schedule, to budget and to the Brand Style Guide
  • Coordinating all facets of the deployment of marketing programs including the creation of Marketing Briefs, Project Schedules, Implementation Plans, status reports and evaluation reports to facilitate operational cohesion across teams
  • Coordinate the periodical review cycles of MDA National’s marketing and engagement materials.
  • Maintain, coordinate, and publish MDA National’s digital content including website, blogs, and social media.
  • Coordinate, monitor and maintain marketing communications stock including stationary, promo items, marketing assets etc.
  • Enhance marketing processes to deliver efficiencies, improvements and member-centric services.
  • Coordinate critical marketing metrics to enable data-driven decisions for marketing programs.
  • Implement and improve core marketing processes and procedures to support collaboration and drive efficiency in marketing and communication throughout the organisation.
  • Work effectively with external agencies and ensure end-to-end management of briefs, and the successful execution of marketing projects.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-4 years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Strong project coordination skills supported by campaign management experience.
  • Commercially-minded.
  • Strong Excel capabilities, tech-savvy and proficient in SharePoint, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint and comfortable with (or willing to learn) new systems.
  • Solid skills across social media, specifically Twitter, Face Book, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Detail oriented and extremely organised.
  • Experience working with digital campaigns and platforms.
  • Customer-service oriented, personable, and positive attitude.
