General Manager - QCA

Starting as a small chemical company manufacturing Copper Sulphate on the shores of Coogee Beach, Western Australia, Coogee has grown to become a vibrant and successful national business specialising in the manufacture, terminalling and transport of dangerous goods across the Australian market.

With a corporate vision of delivering long-term growth and value in chemical manufacture, tank terminalling and associated industries we are now seeking an enthusiastic and forward thinking individual to oversee the ongoing development and operations at our Chlor-Alkali facility at Lytton, QLD.

For the right person this is an opportunity to build on and drive the ongoing success of our Brisbane based business; undertaking high level management of the facility and operations as a whole. The successful candidate will live the values which define who we want to be as a company. This role will have responsibility for the oversight and running of every aspect of the operational arm of the business.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • A background in engineering related to the operation of dangerous goods manufacturing facilities preferably in Chlor-Alkali or water treatment operations;
  • Substantial senior management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with significant exposure chemical manufacture;
  • Experience with bulk chemical transport operations and logistics would be favourably looked upon
  • Demonstrated leadership expertise to grow a successful business to the next level
  • Flexibility and will to work across all areas of the business to develop an integrated approach to success
  • strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; and
  • the desire to get behind, demonstrate and live by the company’s values.
