Child Care Educator | KU Ultimo Children's Centre - Part Time Contract - ISS

The Centre

KU Ultimo Children's Centre is known for providing quality service to children in the local community. The team is known for their focused, play based education approach. You will be joining a truly dedicated team whose Director is highly experienced and will provide you with ongoing support in your career. 

KU Ultimo is close by to Wentworth Park and Exhibition Centre light rail stations, Central train station and bus stops.

The Role

KU Ultimo are seeking a Certificate III qualified educator who has the drive and passion to work in early childhood. The position on offer will see you support other educators while working children in the Preschool room. This is a fixed term contract up to November 2019, working 6 hours per day every Monday, Thursday & Friday (10am - 4pm).

What we're looking for

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are. In addition you will have:

  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • Recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law(2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations(2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
