Finance Officer - Touch Football Australia

About NRL Touch Football

Touch Football Australia (TFA) is the governing body for the sport of Touch Football in Australia. TFA has a strategic alliance with the National Rugby League (NRL) through the Australian Rugby League Commission, hence the sport being known as NRL Touch Football.

Touch Football is a sport that is thrilling, enjoyable and accessible to all. TFA is responsible for the overall leadership, management, administration and development of Touch Football across the nation.

TFA's core values are leadership, integrity, professionalism, diversity and excellence. Using these values, our mission is to provide direction for the sport of Touch Football and develop our dynamic game to the position of Australia's leading community sport.

Primary Purpose of the Role:

Coordination of administrative support tasks within the Business Operations Unit in the National
Office including financial processing, related data entry, account reconciliation, assistance with
month and year end reporting.

The skills and experience we are looking for: 

Demonstrated experience in a financial operations environment, including the processing of
transactions in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

  • Demonstrated success in building rapport, maintaining relationships and an ability to work in a dynamic team environment.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills supported by interpersonal skills of a high order.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently display customer services principles, practices and attributes.
  • Sound understanding of the structures and needs of the TFA community.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and competence in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-management
