Change Manager

  • Government organisation based in Parramatta
  • Initial 3 month contract with further extension
  • Immediate start

Our client is a large government department that is seeking an experienced Change Manager to work as part of Information Services Branch’s Specialist Solutions team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create and implement the transition plan for a key business centre from a legacy system to a new case management system.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in co-ordinating the transition with a project team including Test Analyst, Business Analyst and Data Analyst.
  • Assist in external stakeholder engagement as required by the business and the project team. Assess the readiness levels of business users with regard to the transition, uncover readiness gaps and create and implement action plans to close the gaps prior to going live.
  • Plan, create and deliver training for operational use of the new system by the client business centre system users.
  • Plan, create and deliver the configuration and administration training plan for the client business centre and ITS system administrators.
  • All activities are to be conducted in active and close collaboration with management, subject matter experts and technical staff.
  • Plans must take into consideration data migration, testing plans, leave arrangements and other business priorities.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years’ demonstrated hands-on experience in managing change and planning, creating and delivering training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to service delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of complex welfare-based case management.
  • Experience with change management for cloud-based services.
  • Experience with or certification in a formal change management methodology.
  • Experience with or certification in a formal training methodology.
  • Knowledge of legal and privacy issues related to case management.
