Personal Care Attendant

Aveo is looking for an experienced and passionate Personal Care Attendant to join the team on as casual basis at Aveo Lindsay Gardens.

About the role:

Being a Personal Care Attendant, you will be assisting the Retirement Living Community Manager by providing quality care services to residents within the community including emergency call-outs in the community in a professional efficient manner and demonstrate an empathetic attitude to the needs of residents. You will be responsible for assessing each resident's needs, interests and abilities and consult with them or their carers/relatives to provide an individualised recreational plan.

You will ensure residents' safety, security, dignity, privacy and well-being at all times, actively contribute to the promotion of best practice in OH &S and continuous quality improvement, and promote the culture and philosophies of Aveo.

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Certificate 3 in Aged/Community Care
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Police Check clearance
  • Experience working in Serviced Apartments in a Retirement Community (preferred)
  • Medication Administration
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Good oral and written communication and comprehension skills
  • Ability to work within a multi-tasking, multi-skilled work environment
  • Trustworthy, pleasant and outgoing demeanour
  • Reliable, flexible approach to rostering
