LEADING HAND - ADELAIDE

We are looking for an experienced Leading hand to join the Kalari team, based in our Largs North depot. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, Adelaide this role will coordinate yard activity including container handling and unloading and loading of pneumatic tankers.

Key aspects of this role include:

  •  Provide leadership and direction to a small team
  • Build strong relations and maintain close communication with the Operations Supervisor and Operations Manager
  • Coordination of activities within the yard and warehouse
  • Operating in a safe and compliant manner
  • Ensure completion of required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all Kalari requirements

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

  •  Exposure to the Transport Industry
  •  An absolute commitment to working safely
  • Forklift License and operating experience required
  •  Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

The following would be an advantage but not essential

  • MC license
  •  Experience with pneumatic tankers (loading and unloading)

You will be committed to safety in the workplace and be committed to 100% Chain of Responsibility compliance. We're proud of our 'Zero Harm' initiative and provide extensive on the job training to ensure you get home safely at the end of every day.

You will have the ability to pass all pre-employment checks; which may include a medical assessment, National Police clearance check, driving license history check, reference checks, identity check, verification of tickets, licenses, accreditations and qualifications.

The roster for this role is mostly Monday to Friday, however you will be required to work some weekends, so you will need to be flexible and able to work a varied roster.
