Bush Regeneration General Hand


The City of Swan is the largest local government area within metropolitan Perth, encompassing the picturesque Swan Valley, the urban growth corridor, and many established, historic and riverside  environments.  We maintain a wide variety of bushland, wetland and foreshore areas for the conservation of our environment and the enjoyment and education of our community.

The City has a growing focus on the Natural Environment and is expanding our maintenance team to make sure we effectively control weeds, collect seeds, revegetate, remove litter and otherwise care for our natural assets.  If you enjoy working in the outdoors and are looking for a great team to join and learn from, including gaining accreditations, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking people who –

  • have on-ground experience in environmental restoration 
  • have experience in identification and removal of environmental weed species; 
  • are experienced in relevant plant and tool use and maintenance 
  • have CII in Land Management (or equivalent experience)
  • are flexible, adaptable and great communicators;
  • can make mature judgements about their allocated work and safety;
  • can represent the City of Swan positively in the community; 
  • hold a current driver’s licence, White Card, and can provide a current Police Clearance 

The salary for these positions is $59,683 per annum.  Additional benefits include skills development support for formal training, generous superannuation matching, exclusive fitness and leisure discounts, and free wellness program.
