Community & Landholder Relations Officer

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Community & Landholder Relations Officer to join our Infrastructure Planning and Protection team in Toowoomba or Spring Hill on a casual basis.

Reporting to the Corridor Protection Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the compliance of the pipeline easements with the requirements of relevant standards, licences, property access agreements along with any applicable corridor and environmental management plans. On a day to day basis, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct landholder liaison visits
  • Spending a large amount of time on the road driving to visit landholders in rural and urban locations
  • Listen to landholder concerns and pass them on to have resolved
  • Enter information received into APA specific app designed for landholder visits
  • Provide regular reporting, as required to management
  • Be able to set your own work schedule to deliver landholder visits over a set period

To excel in this position you will have the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Advanced stakeholder liaison, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience dealing with landholder and contractor/construction issues in a utilities or infrastructure context
  • Capability for working in the field and conducting landholder visits, including in remote locations.
  • Experience with GPS operation and site mapping processes
  • Ability to use and extract data from property and other system databases, including understanding of spatial systems and GIS
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills
  • Strong safety focus and demonstrated adherence to safe work practices, as well as ability to promote safe working environments
  • The successful applicants will be paid an hourly rate and reimbursement for travel expenses.  it is essential to have:
    • Late model,  roadworthy,  vehicle suitable for the area
    • Mobile phone
    • iPad or Tablet
