Delivery Services Officer (Van Drivers)

The Role

Our success comes from our people and we are currently looking for experienced and motivated Delivery Service Officers to join our high performing team based at Altona, Melbourne.

The role will be suited to those who have a strong focus on customer service, enjoy delivering product within the designated area of work for this established business, have previous experience in this area and live in the metropolitan area. A manual vehicle licence is essential to undertake this new role.

What are we looking for?

  • Exposure and experience in dealing with customers
  • Exceptional written and verbal  communication skills
  • Accurate recording of information
  • Good driving record with Manual Vehicle Licence  
  • Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of 3PL operations
  • Proven customer facing skills

What are the responsibilities?

  • Movement of Goods inwards and outwards;
  • Liaison with Suppliers and Customers;
  • Secure delivery of items within specified time frames;
  • Knowledge of the area;
  • Following procedures associated with the locking and inspection of vehicles;
  • Adherence to stringent security requirements;
  • Computer recording of deliveries; and
  • Despatch of orders.

The candidate suited to this role will have a flexible approach and excellent communication skills. It is important that the team member represents the company professionally in front of our customers and the general public. This person must demonstrate a responsible attitude and approach to work in all circumstances.

It is a requirement that candidates provide a copy of their driving record at the interview before being considered for this role.

All successful appointments will be required to submit to a police background check prior to appointment.

There is a company vehicle supplied for work purposes to be secured at your home address overnight.  Deliveries of consignments will be made predominantly in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
