About the business

Netball Australia is the national body for Netball in Australia, working closely with its eight state and territory netball member organisations and Suncorp Super Netball Clubs.

Netball holds a unique position in the Australian sporting landscape. It is a sport with significant and long held participation rates that are the envy of many other Australian sports. Netball is widely held to be the women's sport in Australia. In fact, eight of our ten Australian families have had some involvement with netball; either through playing, volunteering, coaching or assisting in the administration of the sport.

We are currently looking to augment the team with a talented General Manager I Commercial Acquisition supporting the Chief Commercial Officer.

 

About the role

The General Manager – Commercial Acquisition is primarily responsible for supporting the Chief Commercial Officer in the acquisition and retention of commercial partners to achieve annual revenue targets and further diversify new revenue opportunities for the sport.

The General Manager – Commercial Acquisition will maintain productive relationships with Netball Australia (NA) partners and key stakeholders working closely with and supporting as required the NA Product Teams (Sport Pillar and Events Pillar) to ensure the smooth transition and maintenance of partners is maintained with both NA and Partner business objectives delivered. 

With a strong focus on stakeholder management across the business, the GM – Commercial Acquisition will contribute to ensuring the organisation achieves its business objectives faster, with less risk and at a lower cost or greater revenue by improving how systems operate and information is recognised, shared and acted upon.

This position will assist with other activities where required that are within the employee's skills and capabilities.
