Head of People and Culture

Welcome to Vinomofo. We’re a tribe – united by wine. We live it, we love it and we share it with our mofos who feel the same way. We’re a values driven company who are committed to ensuring every one of our team members thrive. We’ve got a grand vision and we’re looking for our new People and Culture Lead who can lead our team through the next level of growth.

You might have a proven track record within fast growth startups, or you might come from a larger organisation, driven by the desire to get involved in something meaningful, somewhere you can make a real difference.

You will work alongside our CEO and Team Leads to help shape our ways of working, support our team as we continually strive to set a new standard in people and culture operations. Some of the key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Talent acquisition and workforce planning

  • Designing and facilitating recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding processes

  • Facilitating performance management and performance coaching processes

  • Designing and delivering bespoke Learning and Development programs

  • Advising and acting upon workplace relations policies and procedures, staff performance and disciplinary matters

  • Studying and interpreting legislation, awards, collective agreements and employment contracts, wage payment systems and dispute settlement procedures

  • Manage OHS process development both in-house at HQ, at our warehouse and for future global expansion

  • Providing advice and insights to the CEO and Team Leads on all things people and culture related

Are you up for it?

Here are some essentials - you must:

  • Care. You must innately care about the people you work with and the experience they’re having at work

  • Have well developed EQ and self awareness – you need to be an exemplary role model for all staff as you work to bring out the best in them

  • Have a solid working knowledge and experience in HR legislation and people policies

  • Be exceptionally organised and naturally organise others

  • Be a collaborative team player with an independent spirit

  • Have an innate ability to identify potential process improvements and then make them happen

  • Be a gifted communicator with an ability to build rapport and make connections with a diverse group of people

  • You love and appreciate wine (wine knowledge not essential)

  • Most importantly, and so important that we’ll say it again, you care about the team your work with – their success, their wellbeing and their happiness.

This is a dynamic role – one minute you'll be preparing employment contracts for new staff, the next you'll be advising on people strategy to the CEO then hosting an internal event you’ve organised.

Our credo is STEP UP, CARE MORE, KEEP IT REAL, DO SOME GOOD and HAVE FUN. This has to resonate with you. What does exemplary culture mean to you? We need to know this in your application.

You could send us a CV and cover letter, but if you really want to stand out (we’re looking for someone outstanding), get creative with your application to give us some insight into what makes you tick.

Applications close 28th December and phone screening and interviews will be held the week of 7th Jan. Please advise if you’re not available during this time.
