Sky News is available across Australia via subscription television provider Foxtel and the Win Network, in New Zealand via Sky Television and to international audiences via its OTT service

We are expanding our editorial team in Sydney and have a number of new positions available, for a variety of different skill / experience levels.


About the roles

Program Producers are required to:

-          Liaise with Sky News Presenters to determine guests appearing on shows.

-          Develop a strong contacts list to expand the talent appearing on Sky News’ opinion-based programming.

-          Book Sky News studios across the country and liaise with our international affiliates to lock in overseas talent.

-          Build ENPS rundowns for programs.

-          Write straps / supers / graphics using ENPS.

-          Write copy for on-air presenters.   

-          Cut olay and grabs using Quantel.

-          Work closely with other producers, presenters and the studio crew to create a vibrant and accurate on-air product.

-          Work with the studio crew to put the bulletin to air.


Your attributes

-          2+ years of experience in journalism.

-          Possess a strong news sense.

-          Positive attitude while working well with a team.

-          Able to write engaging and accurate copy quickly.

-          Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task.

-          Experience with ENPS and Quantel or the ability to pick up different software quickly – training will be provided.

-          Able to work on a rotating roster which includes weekends, early morning starts and late night finishes.
