IT Developer / Programmer - (Based in Singapore)

The role

We are looking for an experienced IT developer / programmer to support our partners deploy software-based AV / IoT control, automation and monitoring solutions. You will assist and train our partners on device driver creation and user interface customisation leveraging web standards.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, coupled with excellent IT skills. You will be experienced in code creation and possess the ability to develop solutions from inception to fulfillment leveraging our partners. Ultimately the Software Developer/ Programmer will be tasked with training and mentoring our partners to deliver rich user experiences.

It’s imperative you are a self-starter, who is comfortable with communicating with end-users, channel partners and consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and maintain device drivers for software control platforms
  • Create and deliver PoC’s and Pilots
  • Deliver partner and customer training
  • Provide 1st/ 2nd level technical support for our partners
  • Assist in maintenance of existing client's systems on either a web based or windows environment
  • Handling the incidents raised by partners, either by analysing and solving them (or) by escalating them to respective internal/ 3rd party support teams
  • Perform daily health checks by debugging & monitoring application services, jobs and fixing any technical glitches
  • Follow proper channel to communicate with stakeholders and the wider tech team to escalate the issues that are not within your scope
  • Create and update RCA for high priority issues and the PIR for high priority problems
  • Develop new systems and back-end databases in an array of languages and platforms
  • Provide client direction and suggest solutions for further improvement
  • Provide remote support of developed software or web solution
  • Adhere to company development standards
  • Adhere to company testing regimen

     Skills & Experience

To be considered for this position applicants must meet the essential criteria listed below;

  • Experience as a Software Developer / Programmer
  • Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java etc.)
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
  • Excellent knowledge of UML and other modelling methods
  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles
  • Experience working with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure
  • Strong Hardware/Networking Skills including, Networking fundamentals (Routers/Switches/POE), Firewalls/Port forwarding, MS Windows Server 2008 and above and panel PC's/Touchscreens.
  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • High quality organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or relevant field desirable
