Customer Experience (Business Development) - Large Venues

The role

Due to an internal promotion avt is  now seeking a positive, energetic  business development professional with experience selling audio solutions to large venues, such as stadiums, sports centres, theme parks, convention centres, etc.

You must have experience in audio acoustics, particularly large speakers. Ideally you will come from an installation / theatre/ sound concert background and have been previously employed by another company who provided a service to the end user.

Specific duties include;

  • Able to accurately identify products needed for system solutions in the large venue vertical markets
  • Communicates and informs within the influencer network (consultants, system integrators)
  • Maintain effective communications with support functions across the company to ensure proper engagement on sales opportunities
  • Develop thorough understanding of customer needs and competitor offerings
  • Maintain high level of product and market knowledge
  • Monthly reporting and updates of sales opportunities
  • Business Development and Sales Management

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following;  

  • Technical and/or commercial education (Bachelor's degree preferred) coupled with a proven track record in a similar position. 
  • Minimum 5 years field experience in pro audio, preferably within the install market
  • Advanced knowledge in the acoustics field preferred
  • Knowledge of sound reinforcement system audio signal path & applications including loudspeaker arrays, digital signal processing, amplification, and software interfaces
  • Strong knowledge of Company products related to the industry
  • Proficiency in acoustical modeling software platforms like EASE
  • Proficiency in reading specification documents from consultants and system diagrams from system integrators
  • Experience in analyzing and understanding venue drawings, preferably within industry standard software like AutoCAD
  • Able to prepare and compile system solutions proposals
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Solid commercial understanding
  • Keen sense of attention to detail
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong networking and referral building ability
