About the role

At Bentleys we are Thinking Ahead and as a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing Accounts Payable including data entry and reconciliations 
  • Processing Accounts Receivable including processing invoices and reconciliations
  • Entering and processing a variety of payrolls
  • BAS/IAS preparation
  • Review and tidy of client data files in preparation for annual tax compliance
  • Transition of client files to Xero as required
  • Provision of Xero software training to clients
  • Responding to client bookkeeping and software queries
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Assisting in the Month End process
  • Client billing
  • General accounts administration support

This is a permanent full-time position, however, flexible working arrangements (including reduced hours and the times in which work is performed) may be considered.

About the person

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • At least 3+ years' experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Demonstrated experience using MYOB and Xero (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in processing payroll (essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines 
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Experienced using MS Office
