The Role:

As a Residential Care Worker, you will work in a well experienced, supportive and cohesive team of likeminded people and support individuals with multiple sclerosis in their day to day living from the residence in Williamstown.  With 1 casual position available, you will be responsible to work on rotating shifts which will include days, nights and weekend work.

 

Your Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities in this role will include providing quality residential care in accordance with individual care plans, encouraging and facilitating residents to make choices and decisions about all aspects of their life, supporting residents to maintain both formal and informal networks and meet their social, recreational and physical exercise goals and working collaboratively with team members providing holistic care and support to all residents. 

 

Your Capabilities:

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has:

  • Sound experience working within Personal/Residential care
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • An understanding of OH&S requirements in a residential care facility

 

Your Qualifications:

You will need to have a minimum qualification of a Certificate III or IV in Disability Services, community services, welfare or development education or similar along with relevant work experience in the disability or health sectors.

Your Salary:

This position is casual and will require you to work on a rotating shift either AM, PM or night shift including weekend work.  A great hourly rate is on offer + Super + Salary Packaging options of up to $18,550 per annum.  Penalty rates also apply over the weekend.
