The Role:

As the Coordinator of Support, you will work in a well experienced, supportive and cohesive team of likeminded professionals and support the Lidcombe and surrounding areas.  The 2 positions will be based in the Lidcombe office.

This is primarily an office-based position and you will need to have a strong administrative ability along with excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with participants and other support services on a regular basis. 

We are looking for someone who has the understanding and the ability to connect with individuals that face difficult life changes.  We need people who understand the importance of working collaboratively with all teams to achieve a positive and attainable outcome.

Your responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the coordination of NDIS plans for participants purchasing Support Coordination, and engaging with people affected by MS, or other progressive neurological disorders, by providing person-centred practice, education, planning and navigation of the NDIS.

Other key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a portfolio of service recipients and assisting other team members
  • Supporting service recipients to understand their NDIS plans, goals and objectives
  • Maintaining a continuous improvement culture and be effective in the delivery of the business strategies
  • Strive for solutions that proactively manage the balance between Participant/service risks and maximising service recipient outcomes
  • Building service recipient capacity to manage their own funding package
  • Working with external service providers & suppliers
  • Keeping documentation, reporting and communication of key information maintained

 

Your capabilities:

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has proven experience working within the Disability or Health sector, and who has:

  • The ability to work in partnership with individuals to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage individualised budgets and reach financial targets
  • An understanding of the principals of NDIS
  • The ability to network and develop effective working relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A collaborative approach to team work
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • A high level of technology skills in various packages
  • Current clean Driver’s Licence and personal vehicle for use

 

Your Qualifications:

You will need to have a minimum qualification of a Certificate 3 in Disability Services, community services, welfare or development education or similar along with relevant work experience in the disability or health sectors.

Your salary:

These positions are full time and permanent positions and offer an hourly rate commensurate with your level of  experience + Super + salary packaging options up to $18,550 per annum.
