Front Office Receptionist

Quest Townsville is a 4.5 star, 141 room property located on vibrant Palmer Street in the CBD.  The property opened in 1999 and has been fully refurbished in 2015. All rooms at Quest Townsville face the Marina and Ocean.

Quest Townsville is now seeking a casual Front Office Receptionist to join its enthusiastic and successful team.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Reception - guest check in/out & other guest services
  • Processing reservations, phone & email enquiries
  • Managing occupancy & room allocations
  • Identifying up-selling & upgrade opportunities
  • Collection of corporate guest details & contact information for our Business Development Manager
  • Working with housekeeping to ensure timely turnover of rooms & provision of in-house services
  • Collections & working with accounts & the Front Office Manager to ensure the timely payment of debtors
  •  Handling & resolving guest complaints

Skills and experience

Below are the essential skills & experience initial interview applicants will be selected on;

  • Minimum 2 years hotel accommodation experience
  • Proficient skills in RMS or similar accommodation/reservation software
  • Proficient skills in general office software such as Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Hospitality qualification highly regarded
  • References required
