Who we are:
Who we are:
More than 5 million Australians turn to finder.com.au every month to save money, time and make important life choices. We compare virtually everything from credit cards, phone plans, health insurance, travel deals and much more.

We have expanded around the globe, and our crew of 260 is operating in offices across Sydney, New York, London, Manila and Wroclaw. finder continues to forge a global presence with a vision to become the world’s go-to destination for comparing – helping people to find better.

Achieving our mission of changing the way the world makes decisions requires a diverse mix of creative, passionate and innovative people. We are committed to being an equal opportunities employer and continually striving to create a diverse and inclusive environment where all of our people feel a sense of belonging and bring their authentic selves to work.

Each day you come to work at finder, you will be sitting in a comfortable Aeron chair and working at a comfortable workstation in our stunning Sydney CBD office. The kitchen is well stocked with healthy snacks, drinks, fresh fruit and catered lunches are provided daily.

Who you are:
This role would be ideal for you if you’re passionate about travel and you've recently completed an undergraduate degree in marketing or communications and want to get real world experience. At finder, one of our core company values is 'empower people' - internally, age and experience is irrelevant - we care about what you do and how well you do it. If you're smart, passionate and have the right attitude, we'll give you opportunities to grow and challenges that'll test you. We'll skill you up and give you practical chances to put your theoretical knowledge to the test. Successful candidates will go through a detailed training program when they join.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have to be passionate about marketing, research and refining the editorial process to deliver unique, engaging and high quality content to your target audience. You’ve got creative flair (so have opinions on what makes content visually appealing), but approach things from an analytical point of view. You have excellent attention to detail and are comfortable with a number of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes whilst managing expectations.

The role:
The Graduate Publisher is responsible for generating content ideas, improving, editing, writing and optimising content for SEO, monetisation and internet marketing. You’ll be working on our travel niche, so an understanding of the industry or a serious case of wanderlust and a knack for nailing a great deal will be an asset in this role. Your work will always differ from day-to-day, but your primary responsibility will be to drive the content of the finder websites to build an audience and following.

Some key responsibilities / areas of learning include:

  • Collaborate and report to the Publishing Manager to execute content strategy
  • Collaborate with Editor-in-Chief and develop writing skills
  • Maintaining travel deals in finder’s database
  • Staying up-to-date on travel news, including the latest sales and events
  • Competitor analysis
  • Collaborate with Publishing & Editorial team
  • Content creation and management
  • Improve content quality to meet our quality guidelines
  • Content briefing
  • Content formatting and layout design
  • Creative design input
  • Media creation of rich media into the website including video, images, diagrams and graphics
  • Advanced Research
  • Advanced On-Page SEO

While the foundations of finder may be in personal finance, this role will require you to help grow the site’s travel comparison niche, focusing on content about flights, hotels, tours, holiday packages, car hire and more. You will need to use your wits and creativity to develop content strategies for entering new areas to generate an audience and to establish a point of difference.
