CMT Technician Assistant - Full Time

Construction Sciences is a 850 strong team, located in 52 base laboratories. Our dynamic team provides Construction Materials Testing, Geotechnical Engineering, Subsurface Utility Engineering and Environmental Services, in Australia and internationally. Our strength is providing prompt turnarounds of large volumes of tests, accurately. We are major project specialists. Opportunities are currently available in our Laboratory located in Townsville.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your new role will have an emphasis on technical expertise, combined with project management, analysis and reporting.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting laboratory and field testing of concrete, aggregates and soils
  • Produce clear and concise field and laboratory records and reports
  • Weekend work and overtime may be required
ABOUT YOU
In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally possess:
  • A desire to develop new skills and be enthusiastic about learning
  • Be punctual, reliable, conscientious and courteous
  • A reasonable level of mathematics
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willing to enroll and complete certificate 3 or 4 in laboratory techniques (we pay)
  • Able to comply with our D&A policy
  • A current driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen are essential.
