Front End Web-Developer

Front End Web Development | 6 Month Contract role 

The Australian Institute of Architects is a peak professional and national membership-based organisation representing over 11,000 architects across Australia. It exists to enhance the cultural, environmental and economic wellbeing of the community by:

  • Advancing contemporary practice and the professional capability of members
  • Advocating the value of architecture and architects.

Role:
As an integral part of the Institute’s marketing and communications team and working closely with staff across Australia you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our suite of websites. You will also be responsible for supporting with the project management of the development and rollout of a new website and CRM.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in a front-end development role where you will have developed strong technical skills. You will have good project management skills and be able to build strong internal and supplier relationships. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:


•           Apply design and technical skills to build new sites
•           Interpret, design, and build front-end solutions based on internal staff requirements
•           Update and maintain content across a range of content management systems

•           Perform site analytics and improve site traffic

•           Work with the marketing and communications team to produce EDMs

•           Work with IT service providers to troubleshoot and maintain hosting environment

Experience requirements:


•           WordPress development within an enterprise environment
•           HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
•           Maintaining web hosting across a variety of platforms (including DNS management)

•           Website migration
•           Cross-platform development/design capability
