Change Analyst - Cyber Security Program

  • Initial 6 month contract

Our client is a leading University based in Sydney and as part of their Cyber Security Uplift Program, they are recruiting a Change Analyst.

The Organisational Change Analyst role is accountable to support the design, delivery and implementation of the Change Management solution as part of The CyberSecurity Transformation Program.

This is a dynamic role where you will apply best practice in business change management methodology. Contributing to the development of new business and user capabilities, delivering business benefits through training, communication initiatives and other change management activities.


Working closely with the Organisational Change Lead, you will be responsible for assessing the business and stakeholder impacts on the end user community, promoting awareness and generating a positive perception of the Program whilst engaging stakeholder groups to meet project deadlines.


You will be responsible for actively executing the change management plan for the various projects, understanding the commercial impact of scope changes and /or delays whilst providing service excellence to our internal and external customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Play a key role in the successful delivery of the Change Management Plan
  • Continue developing comprehensive ways of guiding the change management effort through all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Ensure key areas are operationally ready and sustainable change occurs by translating and understanding business requirements
  • Focus engagement attention on priority areas and continually reassess areas of resistance, identifying, reporting and resolving change risks and issues ensuring appropriate ownership have been allocated
  • Align stakeholder mapping and segmentation with the CyberSecurity Transformation Program stakeholder engagement map
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and establish credibility with senior stakeholders, strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Establish good working relationships with fellow colleagues, the business and other stakeholders. Ensure key stakeholders receive a high level of support and are engaged
  • Identify opportunities for additional change and training interventions and work with relevant subject matter experts to develop the required materials
  • Coordinate a smooth transition, as part of the handover, when the operational implementation/ roll out has occurred to ensure ongoing viability and sustainability of the process and system improvement
  • Other duties that may arise as the program develops that would include organisational readiness and organisational change management analysis duties as assigned by the Organisational Change Lead

Experience, Skills & Qualificaitons

  • Extensive relevant change analyst experience supporting complex ICT projects and/or postgraduate qualifications in organisational change management and/or project management
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop professional working relationships, effectively resolve conflict and operate in a matrix reporting environment
  • Experience and knowledge in using organisational change management methodologies and tools i.e. ADKAR, Prosci
  • Ability to adapt to continually changing environments, work under pressure, take ownership and deliver to tight timeframes
  • Possess a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Experience in applying business change management in the Tertiary Education sector will be highly regarded
