Assistant OR Trainee Assistant Water Sewerage Treatment Plant Operator - Dalby

Purpose of the Role

Based in Dalby, you will be part of the Utilities Water Treatment team responsible for maintaining the community water supply and sewerage treatment facilities.  This role is ideally suited for those who hold a Certificate III in Water Operations.  However, a traineeship in Water Operations will be considered for those without the qualification.             

Reporting to the Utilities Treatment Supervisor, you will:

  • assist in the day to day operation, maintenance and monitoring of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, desalination plants and associated infrastructure;
  • possess good time management skills and the capability to complete allocated tasks while working within a team.

About you

The successful applicant will:

  • hold a Certificate III in Water Operations (or be willing to obtain one within two (2) years) & a Construction Induction Training Card (White Card); 
  • be physically fit; enjoy manual labour and applying technical knowledge.
  • be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical and receive the appropriate inoculations.
