ARC Support Services Ltd is a state-wide organisation aiming to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support, and we are passionate about supporting children and adults living with disability and senior Tasmanians living in the community.

We are looking for individuals who are able to think on their feet, work autonomously or as part of a team, and who are able to undertake advanced training opportunities and apply them to their work.

This support worker role may include assistance with personal care and community based activities, including supporting individuals to enhance and expand their social interaction and inclusion opportunities.  The successful applicants will be required to work a variety of shifts which may include weekend work, nights, sleepover shifts and short and long shifts.

These  positions are based in our southern support services in Hobart and the surrounding suburbs, and in particular, Glenorchy. Shifts can be tailored to meet other commitments such as alternate work, university or other studies and family life.

You will need to be:
- a good communicator and be client and family focused
- Motivated and provide high level active support
- Be team orientated and able to work flexible hours
- Although not essential, previous experience and/or qualifications relevant to supporting people are preferred.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake a full medical, provide a Working with Vulnerable Persons (child- related activity) check, National Police Check. You must have current driver licence.

Highly desirable: Certificate III or IV in disability work, first aid and medication training.
