Customer Service Consultant

The City of Launceston, an award winning Employer of Choice, is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Customer Service Consultant

Position Number: POS0875

In this 4-day week permanent part-time position (8.15am to 5.15pm) you will be responsible for:

  • Being the City of Launceston's first point of contact - in person or by phone
  • Providing high level, reliable, efficient and effective customer service
  • Resolving customer enquiries or redirecting for resolution
  • Demonstrating friendliness, helpfulness, and care to customers

To be effective in this position you will ideally have successfully completed Year 10 (minimum), and have some experience delivering high quality customer service in a similar setting with a commitment to further training relevant to the position.  You will also need the ability to gain a sound knowledge of our multiple products and services, and have appropriate skills in literacy, numeracy, verbal and written communication combined with the ability to acquire strong cash handling and computer skills. It is critical that you can demonstrate an aptitude for working flexibly and cooperatively in a team environment, including having outstanding interpersonal skills to adopt within the team and with customers.
