Engineering Apprenticeship- Fitter & Turner

AGA is seeking an individual to undertake a Fitter and Turner Apprenticeship with an organisation based in Altona. The successful candidate will work full time for 4 years whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)’.  
  
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment
  • Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
  • Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts
  • Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies
Role Selection Criteria:
  • Enjoy technical work
  • Able to work as part of a team & independently
  • Attention to detail
Requirements:
  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Pre Apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Medical
  • Genuine interest in engineering
AGA Apprentices will:
  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Obtain personal protective equipment
