Wireline Field Engineer

Our products and services span the lifecycle of a well, including drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention.

We are currently seeking experienced Wireline Field Engineers for our Roma Wireline Operations. Duties and responsibilities include the proper maintenance of tools and equipment, crew supervision, ensuring compliance to policies, managing information and customer data, and customer relations.

Additionally, they will be contributing towards improvements in service quality which includes failure analysis, processes and procedures, and customer service. They can also act as mentors and coaches for other employees in the field operation job family.

Key duties and Responsibilities for this role are as follows:

  • Job planning and preparation of tools for well site operations.
  • Conduct Wireline well site operations to the satisfaction of the customer at the well site.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest technological changes and operating procedures relating to company equipment, tools & practices.
  • Fosters and maintains customer relations by establishing a positive image and confidence in the quality of services and ensures the confidentiality of all logging operations.
  • Informs customers of any unusual conditions noted at the well & maintains direct contact with customer's representatives throughout the logging or completion operation.
  • Prompt and accurate submission of all required reports and data.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and facilities in a neat, workable condition.
  • Prepare and organize logs for distribution on well site location, or immediately upon return to base from job site, depending on customer requirements.
  • Promptly report issues, lessons learned and best practices using the appropriate online system.
  • Supervise post job clean-up and maintenance of tools, equipment and Wireline units.
  • Availability to perform role at short notice, day or night while on shift.

To be successful for the above role, you must be able to demonstrate the below:

  • Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Understanding of the principles of electricity and fundamental physics.
  • Current Relevant radiation, explosive and pressure certification is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • IT Literate in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding and willingness to work/travel to remote sites.
  • Be available for prolonged field work as required.
  • Cased Hole Experience in perforation operations and pipe recovery would be beneficial.
