At Gowrie Victoria (GV) we are committed to high quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC).  We run sector recognised programs for children, and develop the sector's capability through our Adult Learning programs.  We provide education and care for over 800 children and their families at our children's programs in Clare Court (Yarraville), Docklands, Broadmeadows and Carlton North.

Following the merger between Gowrie Victoria and Clare Court Children’s Service, we are delighted to announce new opportunities commencing January 2019.

Clare Court is a 158 place service offering combined early learning programs that include Kindergarten and Long Day Care, extended care programs and holiday care programs.  The service also has a Maternal and Child Health service, playgroups and a community space. 

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a part time Enrolments and Customer Service Officer for our Yarraville service.

The Enrolments and Customer Service Officer is responsible for building relationships with families and staff, management of enrolments, parent tours, and is the first point of contact for family enquiries.

With a professional and helpful manner, the Enrolments and Customer Service Officer supports families by providing them with information about our Children’s Programs, fee inquiries, and services offered by Gowrie Victoria and within the community.

The Enrolments and Customer Service Officer is also responsible for accurately maintaining the service’s wait list and enrolments to ensure we meet our obligations to families and regulators. In addition, the role supports the Facilities and Maintenance Manager to ensure all maintenance requests are logged and completed in a reasonable time frame. The role will ensure that policies and procedures are always followed with a view to continuous improvement.

For this role, we also expect you will have:

  • Intermediate to advanced level of competence across the MS Office suite of products
  • Strong administrative and customer service skills with the ability to perform under limited direction, manage own time and prioritise work
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (desirable)
  • Certificate III and/or Diploma Early Childhood Education and Care (desirable)
  • A working knowledge of the Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS), the New Child Care Package and Child Care Subsidy legislation (desirable)
