Casual Call Centre Operator

  • Mon – Friday: 9am – 5pm   

  • Initial 3 months period 

  • Immediate start required 

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and energetic call centre operator to join the Life Saving Victoria team as a Casual Call Centre Operator. 

Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering training and assessment to a wide range of client groups located across regional and metropolitan areas. LSV deliver a selection of short courses focusing predominantly on first aid, emergency response and water safety across the state both in metro Melbourne and regionally. Included in the courses currently offered by LSV is both accredited and non-accredited training.  

LSV is also the peak body for water safety in Victoria and provide information, advice, guidance and services in risk management and water safety across the various aquatic environments. The services are guided by research and the State's drowning statistics and are aimed towards contributing to the organisational mission. Amongst these services are safety assessments, mystery visits, communication and education campaigns and industry consultation.  

The successful candidate will work collaboratively amongst an energetic team, servicing student enquiries within our client services team.   The Call Centre Operator plays a key role in responding to both general enquiries and current client/student queries relating to training courses and administration.  You will have a strong focus on customers service and a drive to exceed expectations of our clients and supporting the team to deliver excellent outcomes. 

Ideal candidate: this position would ideally suit a call centre operator with experience in training and education.  You will enjoy working with a diverse client base with a passion for administration and customer service.     

Specific requirements: you will have demonstrated experience in delivering high quality customer service and solving problems within a call centre environment.  Previous experience in vocational education and training is desirable. You are an active listener with high attention to detail and ability to work independently. You are an effective decision maker, a solid communicator and more importantly a team player who enjoys working in a supportive team. 

Personal attributes: you will be a team player with a passion for excellent customer service and ability to overcome obstacles and 'make things happen'. You will be flexible, able to co-ordinate on the run to get the best outcomes for your clients and your team. You will be a team player, with a friendly, positive, 'can-do' attitude.  

Communication skills:  Excellent communication, including well-developed written and oral skills. You will have the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders including employees, clients and industry.
