QUALITY & SAFETY ASSISTANT

Role Overview 

Reporting to the Senior Business Services Manager, the Quality & Safety Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the management of organisational quality, safety and environmental systems. With a strong emphasis on administrative tasks, some of the Quality & Safety Assistant’s key responsibilities are document control, record management, internal and external audits, safety reporting, minute taking at meetings, report distribution, risk assessments and undertaking continuous improvement activities across the organisation. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience  

  • High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and proficient computer skills;
  • Proven experience driving initiatives within an administrative, quality or safety environment;
  • Experience assisting with internal quality and safety audits;
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution abilities;
  • Excellent communication and time management skills. 

The successful candidate will also possess the ability to interpret WHS regulations and standards, and have an understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) legislation. The ability to work within timelines, self-manage and motivate will be highly regarded for this position.
