About The Junior Desktop Support officer

The Junior Desktop Support Officer's main role is to provide IT support to the Bank's internal users. The successful candidate will be working within the IT Infrastructure Team and will have the opportunity to work closely with the System Administrators.

This role will allow the successful candidate to build experience in the Banking industry while expanding their IT skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Level 1 & 2 support services to users via phone, email, face-to-face, remote access and through the ticketing system

  • User administration of both Wintel technologies and propriety Banking applications

  • Using security tools to facilitate access for users to IT resources, both internally and externally

  • Using application deployment tools to install and configure software to users and computers

  • Build, diagnose and provide IT equipment to users:

    • PC desktops and laptops

    • Phones desks and mobiles

  • Documentation of supporting process and procedures

  • Liaising with external vendors for procurement and support

 

About You

The successful candidate will have experience / skills in:

  • Completion or near completion of a related IT Tertiary Course of Study

  • The same or similar role to a Desktop Support Officer

  • Helpdesk and desktop support processes and procedures

  • Troubleshooting technical issues

  • Customer service

About The Junior Desktop Support officer
