With online and in-lane auctions, Manheim provide solutions to all aspects of the automotive auction process giving our customers control over how they buy and sell vehicles, helping them to conduct business in the most efficient way possible.

 

With a new leadership team, our business is embarking on some major business and technology transformation, supporting global and regional strategic objectives and new product launches. To help support this, our Retail division is evolving, too, and we are hiring a Head of Retail to take our SellMyCar and BuyNow business to the next level and beyond.

As our Head of Retail, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high performing market within the Retail Services Division of Inventory Solutions for Cox Automotive Australia. You will work closely with the Director of Sales and Retail Services to grow the company position within the Australian market via developing products and services nationally that generates revenue and profit through BuyNow and SellMyCar.

This position can be based in either Melbourne (Altona North) or Sydney (Moorebank), and as this a national leadership role, there will be significant interstate travel required.

 

What would we like you to bring to the team?

Essential

  • Significant experience in a similar role with a medium to large organisation or an equivalent career history, including managing a sales team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and consultation skills with an ability to manage key stakeholders at all levels across the business and ability to work collaboratively with all departments
  • Experience in strategy development, planning and the delivery of both internal and external engagement and change campaigns
  • Project management skills with experience in handling competing priorities 
  • Ability to study, analyse and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches

Desirable

  • Experience leading a business/businesses providing support and services for multiple sites
  • Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
