Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist

Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MS) is a Not for Profit organisation, and a leading source of information, advice and services for individuals living with multiple sclerosis.  The main focus of the organisation is to help minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis on individual lives and provide ongoing support to ensure their journey is not undertaken alone.

We now seek enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our rapidly growing Specialist Employment Support Service team in both full time and part time capacities. Based in Footscray, you will play a pivotal role in supporting people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to maintain their employment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating and conducting holistic, functional, physical, cognitive and vocational assessments
  • Identifying and addressing vocational and non-vocational barriers
  • Providing support and advice on whole of life factors which impact employment
  • Coordinating and managing a caseload of clients
  • Educating employers and a range of stakeholders
  • Identifying and coordinating implementation of workplace modifications, equipment and strategies that will assist an individual to remain working
  • Ensuring documentation is compliant, timely and in accordance with Disability Employment Service Deed, guidelines and MS policies and procedures

We seek self-motivated individuals with:

  • Tertiary qualification in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy) and/or other equivalent relevant qualification; eligible for registration with AHPRA – Graduates welcome
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to working with people who have a disability
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative client-centered strategies
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Experience working in community settings, case management and/or in Disability Employment or Occupational Rehabilitation Sectors is highly desired
  • Current Driver’s License
