NDIS Support Coordinator

  • Locum role - initially for 8-week period
  • Inner South Eastern Location
  • NFP Organisation

 

Our client assists participants in accessing NDIS services. You will liaise with a range of stakeholders in order to secure suitable support for individuals living with a disability, including requesting and arranging quotes from service providers.

 

This role will include;

  • Managing and coordinating participants support plans to enable independence in the home and community
  • Being confident in the facilitation of effective working relationships and communications with the carers, family, external services and other key stake holders
  • A commitment to person centered and family centered practice and maximising the opportunities and support of participants with disabilities and their families within their local communities
  • Communicating effectively with a wide variety of people both in the organisation and the community
  • Linking clients and families to service providers

 

 

To be successful for this role you will;

  • Certificate 4 in Disability Services or Equivalent 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Experience interacting with a customer base of diverse backgrounds including people with disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Demonstrated time management
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • A current drivers licence and own car
  • Working with Children Check and willing to undergo a Criminal History Check
